Expert Profile Ms. Janet GelliciExecutive Director American Coal Council Advocate for coal Janet Gellici is Executive Director of the American Coal Council (ACC). Prior to joining the Council, she served as Communications Director for the Colorado School of Mines’ Management Institute and as Public Information Director of the Western Governors’ Association. She also wrote monthly columns for the Denver Post for many years and has been published in numerous trade publications. Gellici also served as Executive Director of the Coal Trading Association. In 1998, she was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Energy to serve on the National Coal Council. Gellici earned her master’s of business administration from Regis University in 2001, and she is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism and business administration.
