A project team has begun to inject carbon dioxide into Alabama’s Citronelle field as part of a $7.9 million pilot project to determine whether the field is ideal for simultaneous enhanced oil recovery and CO2 storage.

Yes, America is the Saudi Arabia of Coal


In a recent Wall Street Journal article on U.S. coal reserves, a spokesperson for the U.S. Geological Survey is quoted as saying, “We really can’t say we’re the Saudi Arabia of coal anymore.” Oh really…Since when? Of course we can – and we are. America has enough coal to power our economy for the next century and beyond.
